Hardee's Monte Carlo - 1984 Daytona Winner - Cale Yarborough

"Modified Starter kit. Scratch built roll cage, seat and interior plumbing. This was the first car to win the Daytona 500 with a live TV camera on board. The camera was scratch built and is just visible in the photo mounted to the roll bar.

Photo etched hood pins, grills added.

Duct work was made from various length Stainless steel screws bent to shape.(!! - Mr N)

The kit decals were red instead of orange and were carefully repainted before application. The front and rear were painted orange instead of using the large decals. Testors Model master paint used."

(Note from Mr N: I have seen Brian's work at Toronto's Megacity Modelling Madness contest over the past couple years. They are gems. Hard to believe they're 1/43rd!)
