Jeff Dunford's 1995 Short Track Buick Regal

The 99 car is a local driver named Jeff Dunford from Barrie Speedway
(Barrie, Ontario - about 40 miles north of Toronto - Mr N.) - this is back around 1995. This was one of the cleanest, nicest looking cars there and i wanted to do it up as a model.
It is a Monogram Raybestos #12 Buick with interior and body modifications - side skirts, spoiler cut down, tires shaved, undercarriage and exhaust, roll cage, dash, wheel, seat. The engine was given stock manifolds, wiring, reservoir canisters.
There are pics of the real thing which i used to build this one.
All decals (as you can probably see) are hand painted except for the contingencies. The hand painting turn out relatively well - it probably would have been difficult to do the "Alps" thing back then. I was/still am real proud of this one..."

Barrie Speedway was doing a display at the local Ontario Tourism building, and they did a "contest" for people to build models of their favourite drivers' cars. So i decided i'd build my buddie's Buick Regal Late model. I managed to hunt down the last 2 Raybestos Buicks i could find (one for parts just in case).
I took pics from EVERY angle (to the point where Jeff's crew thought i was a "spy" from another team wanting to find out his "secrets"). It turned out awesome - detail down to the pedal locations, plug wires, rear wheel hubs, brakes, etc. I still have that one and don't plan on "parting" it out anytime soon...
