Dale Earnhardt Jr's 2002 OREO BGN Monte Carlo

"this is modeled after the car Dale Jr won the Daytona 300 with. This was the first time the #3 had been back on the track since Dale Sr was killed. The decals are from JWTBM and are a super sheet. The car is a Revell/Monogram Monte Carlo with no mods other than my usual suspension mods to lower the car. I also added a piece of plastic strip to the nose to help with the ride height.

The car was painted with Testors Baby Blue for the lower body color. The darker blue is Model Master Arctic Metallic Blue fogged into the baby blue. I was not as satisfied with the fade as I would have hoped to be, but I am happy with the results. The car was then cleared with automotive clear and rubbed out with a polishing kit. I then buffed it the rest of the way out with Novus. The tire markings are from Shabo."
