decals by 3 Amigos!

"I just wanted to build this car because it is not available. My Kids love the SHREK movie and so do I. And it was truly a One-Time paint scheme. This car is incredibly hard to find actual pics of: Diecast, the photo on JAYSKI's and the 2001 WINSTON CUP Yearbook with 2 really small photos in it were it.

Once again painted with ICI/NEXA Autocolor Base/Clear. I personally mixed the Lt Blue by eye in comparison with a 1/64th "Dinky Car". The Dk Blue is Basically a old Valvoline Blue or something very close.

Of course 3 Amigos supplied the decals. Without them this car would not have been possible. Thanx again Les! The remainder of Decals were from the SLIXX sheet #1619-0126. The 3 Amigo's Supplied everthing else. (The Hood Decal From their Alps printer didn't look "Bright" enough color wise, So I used one from my own sheet I printed from my computer. Same with the TV panel, so I used one from my own sheet.)

Jimmy Started the Race 32nd and finished 31st. Only moving up 1 position. Not a Ideal day for SHREK. Would have liked to see this one in Victory lane. "

(Note from Les: This again is why we like to build them before we offer them, or have someone else, in this case, Gary, be the "Beta-Builder". Am currently working with Gary to come up with proper colouring for the hood decal; once that is achieved, we will add it to the 3 amigos line-up. What Gary neglected to mention was that HE developed these great graphics, and we are pleased we are going to have a chance to make them available!)

UPDATE May 10th: The hood image has been adjusted to be brighter, as on Gary's model shown here so this set is now offered in our catalogue!!
