"I only live 100 miles from Hendrick Motorsports. So every now and
then I go up there to Gordon's shop. Here is a picture I took on 12/29/98.
What a feeling, standing in the shop of the 98 Winston Cup Champion gazing
in awe at such a beautiful site. The sheer power in those cars is just
amazing.
Notice the "'98 Champion" banner hanging on the wall, to be replaced
by the 2001 Champion banner this year, and hopefully one day to be replaced
by the "Eight time Winston Cup Champion" banner! Sorry, got carried
away for a minute....."
Here is a picture of a table full of models. It's in the Hendrick
Motorsports museum. They have a lot of models on display from Terry Labonte,
Days of Thunder cars, Tim Richmond, and of course Jeff Gordon. Next time I
go up there I'll try and get a better picture.
