Dale Earnhardt Jr's 2008 National Guard NWCS Monte Carlo

"Here I created my version of Dale Jr's car from 2008 in the Nationwide Series. I did a lot of nose modifications to make it look like the downforce nose they use currently. As you can see, the nose somewhat resembles a duck billed Platypus. I decaled the car using Thad Brooks' ALPS decals (2 sheets were used to prevent bleed through). I painted the car using Krylon Fusion Red Pepper and Gloss White. Car was coated with 2 coats of Future Floor Wax. I made my own spoiler braces using Evergreen styrene products. A pop rivet was used for the fuel inlet. I also scratch built the roof cam and made the exhaust dumps come out of the passenger side. The reverse exhaust resin piece was provided by a forum member on Randy's. This is by far one of my favorite builds as I think I've almost captured the downforce look."
