"I built this model using a 1973 Petty
Charger that I had built back in 1974. I stripped off the paint with
"Purple Power", primed/sanded/primed/painted Tamiya gloss white. I found a
resin "bulged" hood off ebay, as the kit came with a flat hood. The chassis
was disassembled to the limit I could and painted Testor's red. I painted
the engine block/heads orange, and the transmission Testor's aluminum. The
front and rear spoilers were made from plastic sheet. I decaled it with the
outstanding "Yesterdays" sheet, and then finished it off with clearcoat. As
the windshield/rear window plastic was too scratched up, I used acetate to
make new ones. Old models can live again!
