"I started with the Sammy Swindell Channellock kit, because in addition to the scratch-built hood, I had to use the "cowl" piece in the kit. Most of the relatively recent sprint kits are about the same. I used the side panel hood pieces from that kit, modified to become the sides of the hood, but could have just used sheet plastic, and probably will with the next one. Most of the modifications and scratchbuilding is done to update the chassis, create side body panels(both left AND right on Saldana's car, which is unique.) Wheels from Parts Box, fron t tires from Arrowhead Aluminum, and of course your decals. Steerable front end made with parts from a sacrificial GMP diecast."
