Jimmie Johnson's 2003 LOWE'S Monte Carlo

Heres a write up of what i did so far:
I chose to paint the silver parts instead of using the kit supplied decals, so I had to cut the red pinstripes off the silver decals to finish out the 2 color paint scheme.

I used silver and blue spray paint from Canadian Tire, and then applied a couple of coats of "crystal clear" clear coat over the whole thing and buffed it with some "Mother's " wax. The engine has been wired and plumbed, and I like to use the carburator from a revell drag car kit because of the good detail.

One thing I don't like so far with this new kit is the lack of tire letter decals!!, but overall the kit is excellent, it even has the right stance, no more lowering of those front wheels is needed, and the chassis and body fit together really well! The prepainted black window trim is a nice touch also"
