KENNY IRWIN Jr's 1994 Wynn's Silvercrown car
By Dustin Klassen

Note From Dustin:
" This car was run and won in the 1994 Copperworld Classic here in Phoenix. This is the car that made me start liking Kenny. I was 12 at the time and loved the paint scheme, so I decided to like that car, throughout the day we had a bet(as in every race) of 1 dollar and the winner keeps the pool money. Turns out he ended up pulling on to victory lane with the car, and winning me the money, I have liked him ever since!

The model started out as the Buttler Sprint car, but as I got deeper into modeling I decided to give it a face lift and start back off from scratch. All the painting was done by hand (as you can probably notice, not too neat!) and only a couple decals were used.

The figure has a different suit on than the day he won (am currently changing that!, but it was a suit he wore in sprints) but has the correct helmet. I scratch built the shield for the helmet and put his hand on it as to be pulling it down ready to go(looks really good.) The roll bars have now been covered in real padding and the bad job I did with this is covered up.

The display is actually a Beanie Baby case, but the model fits very well. I painted the back of it white as to be a wall, stuck a Wynn's decal on the back and spent about 3 hours coloring the base, which looks like a real dirt surface (doesnt look as good in pic.) It isnt my best model, but somehow it is the one that everyone likes. Very rare, if any other out there at all? "
