"Saw the new page on your site and I love it! I've attached a ZIP file containing a few pictures I took during a trip to Charlotte in October, 1998. The pictures are from the Mooresville area, the "holy land" so to speak:
Shots of Dale Earnhardt Incorporated. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get inside as it was not open to the public yet.
...shots of the Mayfield's show car in the front office of Penske South,
while this is the car being prepared for the race in Japan in January of 1999.
...front entrance to Sabco Racing with show cars for Sterling Marlin, Joe Nemechek, and Jeff Green.
...couldn't get into the shop, but they did have viewing windows (hence the orange glow of the flash). Sterling Marlin's Monte Carlo's being prepped for an upcoming race.
...Jeff Green's First Union Monte Carlo during an engine run-up. God... what a sound!
...nobody was in the (SABCO) shop other than the very friendly woman at the front desk. I went in, and she told me to just "walk on back and take a peak." So, I did. I didn't want to push my luck, so I stopped just inside the door to take a couple pictures. This is 2 of the cars for the team, note the differences in the paint schemes.
