David Pearson's 1966 COTTON OWENS GARAGE Charger

Quote from Mike:
"My next Pearson installment is complete. It's Pearson's 1966 Dodge Charger that he drove to his first Nascar Championship. I used a Revell 1967 Charger kit which is nearly identical to the 1966 car. After some modifications to the interior tub I used the Performance Plastic Products vintage roll cage and added a steering wheel and seat from an old MPC kit. For wheels and tires I used MCW resin from the mid 60's. Some minor modifications to the front and rear suspension had to be made but I was still able to use the stock kit peices.

I used Yesterdays decals and I must say these are very nice decals and I had no problems applying clearcoat over them.

This car appeared in 1966 with both the 426 Hemi and a 405 cubic inch engine. I chose the 426 Hemi "
