"...I've noticed a lot of interest in the coupes and pinto modifieds. I've got quite a collection
of coupe modifies from Airborne and Catamount speedways. Cars like Andre Man-
ning, Marcel Goddard, Charle Trombley, Bob Bruno, Richie Evans, Maynard
Troyer etc. These cars ran northern New York, Vt. and Quebec in the late sixties and
early 70's. I've made the cars actually better looking then they really were.
Probably the greatest era for the modifieds, I can still remember
coming out of the stands after the mod feature and smelling the
oil and touching the hot slicks after the feature when I was a kid.
...Most of these were made before the present reissues. The cars were made from AMT '37 Chevies with modifications. I used AMT '34 ford early modified kits for the chassis. Roll cages were built from scratch. I also used the correct wheels for the era. Decals were done by Mark Fisher and Gary Adams. "
