1/12th scale ISMA Supermod!!

decals by BULLRING GRAPHIX!

Comments from Norman:
"This is a 1/12 scale all scratch built ISMA supermodified; the chassis, body work, rear, top, & front wings, were made all out of Evergreen tubing & sheet plastic. The engine is a Ford aspirated Cosworth V8. The headers I made from 5/32 aluminum tig rod.

I painted the chassis with Tamiya Brilliant Blue. The wings, wheels, and most parts were painted with Tamiya Silver Leaf. The decals made by BULLRING GRAPHIX, the numbers and graphics I made from mono-cote.

Now these cars race on 1/2 mile to 1/4 mile tracks and that's it for right now; they tried racing on bigger tracks but the speeds were wildly crazy. They race in Ohio, Conn, NY, NH, ME, NC, Mass, Delaware, and NJ. They run at speeds of an Indy car and have just as much G forces in the turns.

Now with my model you wouldn't see one running a Cosworth V8 engine, but I guess there's a first time for everything. They run BB chevy engines; they use 427-454's but when they get done with them some have 800 to almost 1000 HP. One thing I love about the Supers is they are made with a lot of invention & engineering, they're light; with those big fire breathing horses, and wings, with big tires they stick like glue in the turns, and that's why the Supers are the fastest short track cars in the world."
