Mark Martin's 1995 WRECKED HAVOLINE T-Bird

Comment from Patrick:
"In the spring of 1995, at the Transouth Financial 400 at Darlington, Mark Martin and Rusty Wallace tangled on the frontstretch on lap 28.

On lap 257, Mark returned to the race with a car that featured raw sheet metal and a duct tape number with screen door material over the radiator held in place with bungee cords.

I modeled the car with only two reference photos and a tape of the race available (that is a photo of the actual car on the billboard behind the wall). I had also cut off the end of my right index finger 6 weeks earlier. This was part of my physical therapy. It was also the first time I ever put a saw to a plastic model.

Mark was good enough to autograph it for me in 1997 at a Ford dealership in Texas."
