Gordon Lee's #123 LEE ELECTRIC Torino

decals by BULLRING GRAPHIX!

Comments from Ricky:
"Gordon is 81 now and still lives in the St. Pete/Tampa FL area with his wife. His home track was Sunshine Speedway, but he raced a lot at Golden Gate Speedway and other tracks all over Florida. He started in the 50s until he retired from racing in the 80s. As far back as I know he always raced a Ford. And was always a threat to win every weekend.

His race cars were always one of the kids favorites because of his paint schemes. Having Bugs Bunny on the side of his car and the #123 was very catching for the kids to remember.

In the biggest race in Florida (Governor Cup 200), he finished 6th twice behind drivers like Gary Balough, Will Cagle, Wayne Reutimann and Bobby Allison. That tells you he was racing against top drivers during this time.

Ford Motor Company even made a diecast of one of his race cars in the 60s.

Here's all the pictures I took. The decals you did for me came out great!!! Everyone that saw the car was blown away because it looked just like the original car he drove in the 70s!!!

Gordon wasn't able to make it over the weekend at the "Blast From The Past" reunion race. I was hoping to get pictures of him with the car."
