Dale Earnhardt's GOODWRENCH Lumina and Monte Carlo
By TERRY JESSEE (!!!)

Note From Terry:

"Hey, do you know what this is? Yeah, it's a Goodwrench Lumina. But it's a unique model beyond that... a brief story for your site..."

"In response to my question, that Lumina is a PLASTIC Brookfield Collectors' Guild Chevy promotional model. It was done in '95 and was included in several different stock car sets.

There's a Dupont version with the white Monte Carlo pace car from the Brickyard 400, and this black car that was part of a two part Earnhardt 7th Championship commemorative. In that set the '95 street Monte Carlo is painted like the stock car (actually a model of a car sold out of Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet). Both cars have a special crest for the 7th Championship.

"The Monte Carlo and Lumina were also issued in a rare silver over black version depicting (more or less) DE's 25th Anniversary Monte Carlo that he drove at Charlotte. Unfortunately, Brookfield used the Lumina again, so it's incorrect.

The street Monte Carlo was modified at least once. Here you can see that the red car has a deeper front dam with a differently shaped "mouth." There's also a spoiler on the rear deck that the black car doesn't have."
