A Dirt Model from Wayne Kepner!!!

'70's Dirt Modified

Note From Wayne:
"This a sprint car my uncle drove in the seventies at Warsaw Speedway in Warsaw, Indiana. Above it is a model I made of it for him. I used the Revell Don Edmunds modified kit.

I cut the roll cage down and made the front nose roll hoop from brass rod. The rear bumper was also made from brass rod. The nerf bars, headers, injector tubes and radiator are from monogram sprint cars out of my parts box. The body is made from a Pepsi can.

I chucked the rear tires in my drill press and used a razor saw to cut grooves all around the tire. I then used the razor saw and hut cut grooves across the tread area of the tires. The steering linkage was also moved from the left to the right side of the car to match the 1:1 car.
